DJHERE, DTOWN & TK PRODUCTIONS PRESENT  8TH ANNUAL HALLOWEEN BALL AT THE PRADO!

SAN DIEGO – Sept. 29th - The annual Halloween Ball is the largest and most elaborate Halloween party in San Diego, and fittingly set in one of the most unique and picturesque locations in the city — the Prado in Balboa Park.

The Prado is by far Balboa Park’s most elegant, beautiful and notorious venue. It was built in 1915 and carries the mystique and decor of an old-world establishment. The venue features three-dimensional hand-stenciled ceilings, hardwood floors, skylights, a full theatrical stage, outdoor garden and breathtaking Spanish architecture. Once a year, however, DJhere Productions takes over and transforms the venue into the biggest, spookiest, and sexiest Halloween party in California’s southernmost city!

Featuring four separate rooms, a massive courtyard, 10-plus DJ’s (including Donald Glaude and San Diego’s own Scooter & Lavelle), over 20 bars, and the ability to accommodate over 2,200 all Hallow’s Eve partiers. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that this has become the party to attend for the last seven years running.

This year’s Ball takes place on Halloween itself, Monday, Oct. 31. Doors open from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. There’s plenty of free parking and tickets are on sale now starting at $30 each. TK Productions (www.tkent.net) and D-Town Productions (www.dtownproductions.com) have partnered up with DJhere Productions to host the event this year.

The Prado is located at 1549 El Prado in Balboa Park. This is a 21-and-up event. Get your tickets early at www.djhere.com (DO NOT CONTACT THE PRADO RESTAURANT FOR TICKETS OR INFORMATION).

The Prado at Balboa Park is a National Historic Landmark, which was originally built for the 1915-16

Panama-California Exposition. This two-year festival was held in Balboa Park to promote San Diego and to celebrate the 1914 opening of the Panama Canal. In 2000, The House of Hospitality reopened after a complete reconstruction and modernization. The 3-year renovation restored the building’s architecture, artwork, sculptures, alcoves, gardens and fountains. Every effort was made to historically renovate the House of Hospitality in keeping with its original Spanish, Moorish and Mexican architectural design. This is evident in over two dozen, original, hand-painted, wooden stencil designs on doors as well as the intricate hand-stenciled ceilings and beams. The Donal Hord sculpture, “Women of Tehuantepec”, still remains in the fountain of the building’s restored central courtyard.

The renovated House of Hospitality features lush historical gardens and a courtyard, elegant banquet rooms, romantic terraces and the outdoor grandeur of the historic Casa Del Rey Moro Gardens. The Prado at Balboa Park offers more than 22,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space and can accommodate groups of 20-20,000 guests.

Known for its history and beauty, the Prado in Balboa Park is typically a place where couples come together to share its beauty in celebration, to set the stage for the rest of their lives… and say I do. Complemented by 30-foot hand-stenciled ceilings, hardwood floors, skylights, a full theatrical stage, outdoor gardens and breathtaking Spanish architecture, the Prado in Balboa Park is San Diego’s most elegant, beautiful and unique venue.
